What the treatment includes
The warm, sheltered gap beneath solar panels is prime nesting territory for pigeons, and once they move in the droppings, mess and blocked gutters follow. I fit a fine mesh around the edge of the panel array that seals the gap without touching the panels or affecting their warranty, and it is barely visible from the ground.
Why it matters
- Droppings are acidic and corrode panel frames and roof sheeting
- Nesting debris blocks gutters and shades cells, cutting output
- Bird mites from old nests can enter the roof cavity
- Noise and mess from an established colony only get worse
What to expect
I first clear and clean under the panels so nothing is trapped inside, then clip a galvanised or PVC coated mesh around the perimeter. The install is neat, discreet and designed to last.
